GameIRC

Python IRC bots running games

GameIRC is a passtime project to create bots which enable people to play games on IRC. The most recent version is always running live in #lounge on irc.uplinkcorp.net, and can be downloaded from this place.

You'll notice that a bot named BotSpawner is also running in #lounge - this bot is not part of GameIRC. It is a project by Monty to create bots that can play games as players, not hosts. Currently it only supports bots for UNO (try !unospawn <1-4> and !killspawn to try) but other bots are (supposedly) in the works.

Below are the leaderboards for the bots in #lounge that currently support score storage.

Hearts uses an inverted scoring system for the leaderboard to ensure people don't get on top by simply playing as few matches as possible. This system calculates the score with 26-score. So if you have 3 points in the game, you get 23 points added to your score on the leaderboard. You win the game if you have the lowest score of the game - hence there can be multiple winners in one game.

Note: The UNO leaderboard was reset on June 1st after an error in the scoring system was pointed out. I've left the names in, but all the scores and match counts have been reset to 0.
